How to apply your vinyl lettering

A simple step-by-step guide for applying your decal to clean, smooth glass. Take your time and apply one element at a time.

Application steps

  • 1. Clean the glass

    Clean the area thoroughly and let it dry fully before applying.

  • 2. Fix and position

    Position the decal on the glass, then secure it with masking tape as a hinge along the top, side or middle.

  • 3. Peel the backing

    Peel away the backing paper, making sure the lettering stays attached to the transfer tape.

  • 4. Squeegee firmly

    Lower the decal onto the glass and smooth it on firmly with the supplied squeegee or a clean plastic card.

  • 5. Remove the transfer tape

    Peel away the transfer tape slowly at a low angle, leaving the lettering in place on the glass.

After applying

Avoid cleaning or rubbing the lettering for 24 hours. Small air bubbles can often be eased towards the edge with your squeegee or a clean plastic card.

Suitable surfaces

  • Best for

    Clean, smooth glass such as shop windows and glazed doors.

  • Avoid

    Textured glass, frosted glass, dusty glass, damp surfaces, flaking paint, rough walls, freshly painted surfaces, or very cold glass.
