How to apply your vinyl lettering
A simple step-by-step guide for applying your decal to clean, smooth glass. Take your time and apply one element at a time.
step one
Clean the glass
Clean the area thoroughly and let it dry fully. Use water with a small amount of mild soap, or an alcohol-based glass cleaner. Avoid applying to dusty, greasy, damp or textured surfaces.
step two
Position before peeling
Hold the decal in place and check the alignment from a short distance. Use masking tape to mark the top edge or create a hinge.
STEP THREE
Peel away the backing
Slowly peel away the backing paper, making sure the lettering stays attached to the transfer tape. If any letters lift, lay it back down and rub firmly.
STEP FOUR
Apply with firm pressure
Lower the decal onto the glass and smooth from the centre outwards using the supplied squeegee or a clean plastic card.
STEP FIVE
Remove the transfer tape
Peel the transfer tape back slowly at a low angle. Do not pull straight out from the glass. If any letters lift, press the tape back down and rub again.
STEP SIX
Let it settle
Avoid cleaning the area or rubbing the lettering for 24 hours. Small bubbles usually settle; larger bubbles can be gently pushed towards the edge.
